Atari-Dub crazy madness at it's best. Jahtari from Leipzig in Germany has done it again: a release where all sane persons would immediately say: Go away. But the music doesn't go away, so you have to accept it and then it gets into your blood... and you're DOOMED. You cannot stop anymore. You're addicted.
Bo Marley is a cheapo dub combo from Danmark and some say their singer is the one MC from Deichkind which can be true or not. I prefer the story that he is the son of Bob with a German mother who is trying to claim what he deserves here in Scheißland.
This 12" features two different tunes including some trackers (for the ones who still know what this is). "Bauhelm" is a great song, "Fleisch" is even greater. I recommend the song (engl. meat) to all the vegetarians out there. And vegans. And meat-eaters. Just everyone. It's in German, so most don't understand it anyway. But thank the Goddesses, we have Dub Flash and they gonna translate bits of the tune: "Hm, meat, yummy yummy meat, my favourite food is meat. I love the meat. But still, I only eat Pasta."
In a way, the release deserves 5 stars, but then again, the music is not easy to listen to and I can imagine that one can easily be extremely annoyed by it, especially if you're not from the C-64 / Amiga generation. My girlfriend hated "Fleisch" after I've played it several days in a row. But some weeks later she started to sing the song: subconsciously. So it worked.
Since the release is meanwhile surely on the edge of being sold out forever, you might at least wanna check out the offical release website with all the tunes as MP3 streams.
