A Look Back on Dub Flash's Dub Mash Radioshow

Status update: On a break like Ross and Rachel.
If I feel like making a new show, I will make a new show.
Dub Flash's Dub Mash was Dub Flash's own radio program featuring DUB and beyond music.
Originally (January 2007 to July 2007), the show has been a weekly program on the Finnish radio station Oi fm where it was aired every Monday evening from 9 to 10 pm (Finnish time) in conjunction with the "International Evening" which had English spoken programs for (not only) the many international students in Joensuu, the town where the station is located.
From August 2007 to September 2008 the show was not aired on Oi fm anymore. Instead, it was featured on different stations as special guest features without a fixed time. It is still sometimes featured as a guest program on other shows.
From October 2008 to June 2010 the show was aired on Oi fm again, this time on a monthly basis, every first Wednesday of the month from 23:00 - 0:00 (Finnish time / GMT+2), repetition on Monday mornings from 3:00 - 4:00.
From July 2010 to November 2010, there were no shows due to me writing my master's thesis. From December 2010 onwards, the show was produced irregularly for various radio stations or for exclusive download on dubflash.com. Watch this space for news and updates concerning the "Dub Mash"!
The show's basic length was 60 minutes. It was conceived as a live radio program with announcements. However, sometimes it may have been only a DJ mix without or with only few announcements. All episodes are archived on this website (except one of the first shows which is unfortunately lost - needless to say that it was probably the best show ever ;-)).
The show's host was DJ Dub Rogue, the sample recycler who basically played the music that he liked as well as new productions in the sense of promoting tunes, labels and artists.
The show had an additional feature, the so called "Dub School". These parts had special topics with which would be dealt with through the particular show. For example, there were history, geography or language lessons. A history lesson could have been about certain time periods of DUB music, geography lessons would have featured DUBs from one chosen country or area and language lessons could have featured songs in only one particular language, like French, German or Finnish.
Enjoy the music! And always remember: Dub Flash is constraint-free. Break your musical barriers! Let the music float through and guide you.
