2011-05-30: As you have noticed, DFR011 is still not released. The reason is simple: Terrible sales for more than one year in the webshop and therefore not enough money available. In the meantime, get your free whimsical net releases to compensate the waiting pain. |

2010-05-21: Maybe it's a good idea to let you know that the next Dub Flash release is in the make. It will be the 6th part of the "Dub Splitz" series, pressed on 10" vinyl. I'd say that July is a good month to bring it on the market. Then some people are on holidays, miss the release and pay hundreds of Yen later @ Discogs for the copies I extra save for later. ;) But seriously, the release is nothing for the weak-hearted: There will be one dub without a bass. One vocal on helium. And one tune with lyrics in Suaheli, sang by a North Korean with Hawaiian roots. It'll be fun - if you understand it. I don't understand it. Watch this space for further info in the coming weeks. |

2009-01-20: DFR009 due to be released in March Finally some news from the Dub Flash Records stable. Secretly, I have worked on some new releases and can now reveal the following: The originally planned DFR009 is now switched to DFR011 because there is still some more work to do on that one. But the DFR011 which was planned for late 2009 is now more or less ready and therefore becomes DFR009. Only one track needs to be finetuned a bit. That should happen until the end of January. February will then be the month for all the pressing stuff. If everything works out fine, the 10" (yeah, it's another 10" - you want it, you get it) will be in stores during March - 2 years after the last Dub Flash release. As I always said: Dub Flash will never die! Let's thank my university for offering me a 3-month-job. This payment nearly covers the costs of DFR009. How nice of them. Maybe I should put a note on the label: "Sponsored by Uni Potsdam". ;-) The working title for the release is "Dub Splitz Part 5: A Scent of Philosophy Chapter 1" with the subchapters "Of Critics & Critique" and "Of Unity & (In)Difference". 2008-07-22: I have decided to not release DFR009 for now due to the current situation in the scene where everyone is just demanding free dubs and too many are not willing to pay anymore for quality releases. If a free MP3 album gets 10.000+ downloads and I struggle to sell 500 copies, then I am really not motivated to spend any more of my little money on another vinyl release. If I get enough pre-orders, I would be willing to press, let's say 100 white label copies of DFR009 and sell them directly to the real fans. But be aware that it would then easily cost you maybe 15 to 20 Euros per 12". If you are interested in such a heavily limited special edition copy, click on contact and let me know. If I don't get enough interested people, DFR009 will become a legendary release where in a couple of years, no one knows: Was it really released at all or not. And I will spread rumours. ;) P. S. If you have heard about a possible DFR011 "Dub Flash's Rough Plates"... I'm afraid that was a hoax. |

2008-05-17: I have added several releases (DFR004, DFR005, DFR006, DFR007, DFR010) to the digital distribution and have finally finished the digital distribution overview page, too. If you missed some of our vinyls or CDs, you can get them now for cheap in MP3 format. Pay in Dollars, save moolah! :) I have also finally cleared the yellow pages here from all the unbelievable crappy Frontpage HTML code. That work drove me nearly insane. Links are also fixed by the way and the tables have now the same layout. I know it's not important for you but for me it was. ;) |

2006-12-02: Long time no news. So, I guess it's now time to announce "Dub Shoe - Episode 2: Attack Of The Babylonians", a wicked vocal & dub 2 x 10" LP with 4 vocals (2 female, 2 male singers) & versions + four bonus dubs. Two stepper sides and two one-dropper sides. The title is again a tribute to George Lucas and his Star Wars saga, just like Scientist and others did in the past (I don't know if anyone noticed that on DFR004). Click on "releases" in the upper navigation to find out more about the album. There are also first lo-fi samples online. The album should be ready at the beginning of 2007. A good start into the year is guaranteed. ;-) |

2006-03-24: DFR007 ("Run Soundboy
Run") is now officially sold out from our side. It is available from
several distributors and shops throughout Europe, USA and Japan though
(have a look at our distributor page, please). So, don't get a crisis now
if you don't have a copy so far. ;-)
DFR008 (yet untitled) is currently in the make. However, as our financial side is currently disastrous, we won't be able to release it before our distributors haven't paid their bills. We are missing a sum of more than 1.000 Euros due to unpaid bills. As soon as we got this amount in, we're ready to press. However, we don't think we will get the full amount ever. So, here goes our motivation.... |

pressing plant. The final name is: "Dub Splitz Part 4: Run Soundboy
Run!!!!" We roughly scheduled the release for the 11th of November.
Let's see. There are now MP3 samples from all tracks online as well as the
promo sheet and the label designs. Check it here.
Dub Flash Records also has a new logo. DFR007 is the first release to have the new logo on it. We're still working on optimizing it. And yes, it's not reggae-esque, it's more like directly from the Andromeda Galaxy. But hey, that's where we originally come from! |

2005-09-08: The Dub Splitz Part 4 10" will be a bit delayed. Sorry. New release month is October. First samples are online. On 27th August, Dub Rogue played a session on the state-run radio station "Fritz", together with the popular radioman Ole Stührmann, a good friend of us. That was a very nice experience and we felt like mentioning it here. Dub at prime time on the radio. That's how it should be. :-) |

Dub Flash goes Japan: So far, DFR001 and DFR002 have been going to Japan and soon to follow in a quite big quantity are DFR006 and a yet to make DFR010 best of CD which is currently being compiled and will feature 10 tracks from the first 6 Dub Flash releases + 6 so far unreleased bonus tracks from different artists. The CD album "Dreams Of A Lost Soul" - a music-text-experiment with some space dubbings on it but also meditation music and some trippy beats - is available now in the webshop. An interesting fact is that YOU decide how much you want to pay for the album. As it's a (nearly) no-budget product our intend is not to make money with it. It's a dream or actually 15 dreams, coming to life through the music. Please check the samples. The works on the "Heartcore Dub" LP are in full effect. Currently, the cover artwork is designed. It will be at least as cool as the "Dub Shoe" cover. ;-) |

The "Heartcore Dub" LP will be hold back until early 2005. Spring 2005 will see a "best of" CD compilation for all dub fans who don't use vinyl anymore. It will have 11 tracks from the first 6 Dub Flash releases + 3 unreleased bonus dubs. Stay tuned. |

2004-07-25: The 4th release goes into the final
phase. The mastering will be done at the Phoenix Upliftment Studios
by Sir Larsie I. At the moment, the cover artwork is being done by
me and Antti Mäkilainen. You can find the final tracklisting now here.

2004-06-06: The re-press of the
"Righteousness EP" arrived. Waiting for the new stickers at the
moment. If you have the first pressing, you should get the second
pressing, too. Why? Because there's a new cool sticker on it with Sir
Larsie I on it presenting the first pressing on the photo. When can you
see the release on the release cover? Hehe. ;-)
Dub Flash is now distributing some French dub artists like Piratedub, Uzinadub and No More Babylon. Please check the webshop for details. There are photos and reviews of my Finland tour available now: Photos, Helsinki gig, Tampere gig, Turku . Enjoy. (Don't wonder, the background colour is grey, that's because the info is published on the main Dub Flash info portal. Getting confused? No.) ;-) Also several smaller updates, for example in the releases section, the distribution section and in the press info corner. On 25th and 26th June, I will be playing sessions in Lille in Northern France. Watch out for infos and tell all your local friends. And in August, during my summer holidays, I will make a trip to Graz in Austria for a little relaxed summer session. Big t'ings a gwaan, seen?! |

2004-04-15: Dub Flash Sound is back from a
successful Finland tour. The flyers, photos, sound files and maybe even
some videos will be presented online as soon as time allows it. Also, the next releases on Dub Flash Records are re-planned now. In late summer there will be a vinyl only compilation with full cover presenting some heavyweight dubs from all around Europe. The name will be "Dub Shoe - Episode 1: The Stepping Shoe" and without exaggerating I have to say this will be one of the dopest albums ever!!! Be prepared! Later for the year, the spherical CD "Dreams Of A Lost Soul" should be ready. At the moment, I don't find the time to finish the last tracks. And at the end of the year, possibly in 2005 the next part of the "Dub Splitz" should be out. Stay tuned! |
