Wicked tune "Black Scorpion Dub". A heavyweight UK dub style 7" release with Swedish singers Lancy Rankin and Elijah will be released later this summer. Looking forward to that one fi sure.

A 23 minute live video from Positive Roots Band is available for looky-looky here.

2006-06-07: Personal info: Due to coming exams during the next weeks, I will have even more time problems than usual. Therefore, please allow me some time to answer e-mails and to update the website. Thanks for your patience.

2006-04-26: Personal info: The moving to my new flat is done now. I have been offline for a couple of days, therefore I have loads of e-mails to answer. The Tassili Players have a new album out: "The Ages Of The Earth In Dub". Only available as digital download from the usual online downloading portals. The title sounds interesting but I haven't been able to check it out so far. A preview 10" cut can be found on the Lush Records label.

From the heavyweight Uzinadub stable comes a new release on Control Tower Records: "Stepper Anthem" featuring Carlton Livingston. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, we are steppers!" Raw and wild. B-Side "Mass-I" featuring I-Plant. Review to follow soon. Sample 1, sample 2.

And again Carlton Livingston: A new double 7" serious on Conscious Sounds should be out by now. A pretty cool riddim from Dougie Wardrop and vocals from the aforementioned singer plus Ghetto Priest (known from his On-U Sound collaboration). I tested the tunes on my last session in Helsinki and they worked just fine.

Blood & Fire released a 6 x 7" collection with new versions of the "Fisherman" riddim by The Congos. The riddim has been re-mastered by the Rhythm'n'Sound guys and several artists voiced it, for example Mykal Rose. I haven't bought this collection although I love this riddim. But: There was no DUB version coming on one of the 7"es, therefore I said "no". But now the good news: a double LP and double CD (incl. video) comes out at the end of April which features all 12 vocal contributions PLUS extra DUB. Now, that's what I am looking for. Hopefully, soon to be reviewed.

Three new 10"es on the Twilight Circus label (MREC) are available now. All limited to 700 copies. "Binghi Riddim", "Thanks & Praise Riddim" and "Acetate Riddim" featuring Lutan Fyah, Michael Rose, Fred Locks, Cornel Campbell and more. All tracks are recorded in Jamaica.

The next Deep Root 10" "Edutainment EP" from the Abassi All Stars feat. Rudy Lee, Daddy Roots and Fitta Wari will be out on 22nd May. An uplifting summer roots riddim will it be and a review will follow as soon as possible.
