Earthgound Combination? "Fayah"? That sounds familiar. Let me think... ah, right, Dub Flash's "Dub Shoe - Episode 1: The Stepping
Shoe", track B2. It was one of these little gems that you come across to
and just love it. So I had to put it on the album. Obviously, there must have
been more people thinking like me and so they possibly decided to re-release
this tune on a 7" via Imperial Roots, Italy. I must admit that this record totally surprised me and actually, I think that they should have at least warned me about this re-release since I have officially licensed this tune in Germany (as royalty-free though). It's these times where I start to think that I must be a total jerk because so many people with who I have had contact (or even worked with) in the past, stop contacting me for no obvious reason. So, in this I wonder: Why did they release this tune without saying a word to me or mention that it can also be found on the "Dub Shoe" LP? I hope I didn't do anything to piss them off. :( Anyway, the good thing in this release is that apart from the EGC cut, you get an incredible Vibronics remix which hardly has anything in common with the original version. It's more like a completely new tune. And what a tune it is. BOOM again. Vibronics definitely have a good year so far. What a bassline, what a massive riddim. 5 stars fi sure! I take off 1 star because of being a bit grumpy due to the aforementioned. The music itself is a clear 5 star release though. ;)
