Detailed review:
OK, this is a bit inconvenient right now. I have already written the review but for some reason, the file didn't save, so all the text was gone. And if course, as you can imagine, it was the best review I have ever written. ;)

So, as it is with a second round, the motivation to write down everything again, is pretty low. It's a pity because the "Back to Mount Zion" riddim definitely deserves a good, detailed review. The riddim is the same one than on this 7". As I have claimed in the review of that one, I totally dig the bassline which moves the octave scale up and down. Hmm, bass... (imagine the picture of a drooling Homer Simpson here) :)

Now, since the riddim is good, it is no wonder, that McPullish decided to releases more tunes on that. The result is a triple 7" featuring Chezidek, Fantan Mojah and Luciano on the microphone. A thumb up from my side to McPullish for putting a dub version on every single record. Pluspoint! The versions also differ from each other: the Chezidek has a heavily dubbed version, the Fantan Mojah has a melodica/brass cut and the Luciano has a flute (quite some freestyle improvisation in here!) cut. The vocal cuts are also very different from each other and I have to say that I quite like them. And for sure is there something for everyone available.

Thinking about it, I must say that this selection is really clever. McPullish obviously must have thought about all the above. I could not appreciate that more. It's like as if someone actually reads my reviews and typical complaints and thought: Well, let's make it just like he wants and see if he notices. Well, I did! Thank you, McPullish. :)

In addition to the now 4 piece strong 7" collection pon de "(Back to) Mount Zion" riddim, there is also a one riddim CD available with all the 4 vocals and 4 dubs from the 45s as well as 4 additional vocal cuts by Ginjah, Ninja Ford, Judge and Aimann Raad. Since I have the vinyls, I cannot say how these four vocal cuts sound and I also don't know these singers (maybe someone involved in this project could provide me with the MP3s *hint, hint*). But they surely have interesting names. Wasn't Aimann Raad in the Intergalaktik Senate and then joined the Rebellion when the Emperor took over? I think he can be seen in Episode III on the upper left corner in one of the meetings. :)

Please check out the McPullish website and support his works. You won't regret it. And he neither. ;)
