A new 7" from the Dutch Bush & Shadow label is on it's way to your trusted record dealer. Again they have chosen a tough tune from Slimmah Sound with Jah Melodie on vocals: "Get Active" features again positive lyrics, presented in Jah Melodie's typical "can't get it out of the mind" style.

The riddim is a strictly sound optimised stepper with a demanding bassline and only minimal instrumentation (live guitar). Even though it has heavy power and pushes forward as possible, I personally liked the previous Bush & Shadow releases more. I think it's the guitar and organ skanks. Both are, as you might know, if you are a frequent reader here, instruments I dislike due to various reasons.
