    DFR011 was started in 2009, and scheduled for early 2010, but then it got postponed to 2011, and later to 2012. Eventually it got cancelled for good.

    Behind the scenes:

    This was supposed to be a special release with two “Dub Splitz” episodes on one vinyl featuring two artists and one topic per side. When I say special, the truth is honestly, that it was mainly for financial reasons. The vinyl prices had risen a lot since I started releasing vinyls in 2003. Instead of two 10"es with lots of space per side, I wanted to basically release two records on one vinyl.

    This release was important to me personally, as it was supposed to musically conclude my masters degree studies in philosophy at the University of Potsdam. The release was highly topical with philosophical topics that played a big part during my studies.

    Unfortunately, there were complications with one of the songs. Details don't matter. I started preparing everything for this release after Chapter One came out in 2009 with the hope to get an early 2010 release. Then I had to move the release date several times. In 2012 I decided to join the MoonBass Hi+Fi Soundsystem crew and be less publicly available as Dub Flash, and taking a little break seemed like a good idea at the time. It had been quite a ride for almost 15 consecutive years since I first had the idea for my Dub Information Portal. Thus the proper cancellation of DFR011 in 2012 was the logical conclusion.

    When the MoonBass Hi+Fi crew parted ways in 2015 due to work and life situations, I returned as Dub Flash, but had to quickly learn that times had changed quite a bit, offline, as well as online. I thought about finally releasing DFR011 in one way or another, e.g. as a digital edition with less songs, but eventually decided to keep it cancelled and instead add the songs to future releases.

    And that's the good news at the end: All songs from DFR011 have meanwhile been released on Dub Flash in one way or another:

    A2 - Dubcreator “Dub Of Life” became track A2 on DFR020 in its original version.
    A3 - Pasadena Grande “Walking In Heaven” became track A3 on DFR020 in a newly mixed version.
    B1 - Wayne McArthur “Love Jah” became track 7 on DFR022 on a newly created “Stripped To The Bass” riddim by Dub Rogue.
    B2 - [Redacted] “Love Dub” became track 8 on DFR022 on a newly created “Ethereal” riddim by Dub Rogue.
    B3 Malone Rootikal “Hataz” became track A4 on DFR020 in its original version.
